On Tues, Feb. 23 I was given an evaluation which is considered the main one for the year. Shortly after the evaluation, I asked
the principal if she was ready to sit down and go through it. (Standard procedure.) She informed me she wasn't done with it yet and would get with me later. That never happened. Only days after my termination I requested my last evaluation directly to the principals. I was told they would have to ask the school attorney first. This totally baffled me. Any and all evalutions belong to the teacher and the teacher has a legal right to all of his files. Might I add a legal right.
I was finally told by the principals that the superintendent would not release my last evaluation. I was dumbfounded. I immediatly asked my lawyer to contact the school attorney and demand I have the evaluation as it was my legal right.
My last performance record finally came to me long after my hearing. Therefore this evaluation was not entered as part of evidence. I now realize why they didn't want to give it up. It is very damning to them and could have been of great benefit at my hearing. This alone should convince the school board to reinstate me. If not I have other options in the works. I look forward to sharing the contents of this evaluation soon.
